Ghostwriting

I have been ghostwriting most of my corporate career for all levels of management. On more personal level, I have been asked by my friends to write important letters for them, especially on very complex matters.  Only recently did I recognize the need for ghostwriting for the general public.  It's a revelation to know that famous speeches, blockbuster scripts and best selling books were written or refined by ghostwriters.  Everyone has an interesting story to tell, but not everyone is confident or skilled enough to actually write the story.  When I listen to conversations sometimes I get excited thinking wouldn't that be a terrific story for the public!  Wouldn't it make a great book?  On occasion I've had enough interest and passion for the story to offer to collaborate with the first-time author and BE the ghostwriter.  Each time it has been an exciting adventure for them and for me.  You can read about some of the ghostwriting projects on the Projects page of this website.

What is ghostwriting?  It's several things.  I like to think of a ghostwriter also as a Collaborator.  That's a term I made up in this context.  Here are some services you can expect from me as a ghostwriter and collaborator. 

1. You tell me the story and I'll create the written version.
2. You tell me your vision and I'll write the story.
3. If you've written a rough draft of the story and it need significant editorial work, I will do that as a ghostwriting service, especially if research is required or facts need to be validated. 
4. I'll collaborate with you to refine the story until it delivers the message the way you want it and the way it can be understood by the reader.
5. You tell me your publishing budget and I'll find a way to get it self-published. 
6. If you want to submit to publishers, I'll write the query letters for you.
7. You tell me your marketing goals and I'll develop a plan to address them.
8. I'll design the book cover and other graphics.
9. I'll also act as a contractor for the whole process if we decide that would be the better approach for all or some of the tasks associated with your unique story and goals.
